Environmental portraiture consists of photographs taken in the natural setting of the subject. Unlike studio photography, environmental portraits are taken where the subject feels comfortable and encourage more natural expressions and poses.
Children, in particular, benefit from the use of environmental portraiture, and whenever possible I use natural light to avoid the distraction of flash lighting.
